Serving 3 years as a missions recruiter for a ministry in East Texas, with formal training through Truett Seminary for pastors, and through the local church I have had the opportunity to share the good news of Jesus to young adults and women alike.  I am a firm believer in the transforming power of Jesus Christ and want others to have the opportunity to know Him too.

The Storms of Life:

I want start with a question, My question: “DO I TRUST in GOD?”

I’ll never forget when I was 8/9 years old, I had a stuffed animal that I loved and slept with.  My siblings where playing (bullying) me and the lights were off in the bedroom.  They kept throwing the animal back and forth playing monkey in the middle.  There is a saying that goes, “ it’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt."  Instantly I felt a sharp pain on my foot and it started to feel really hot so I went to my moms room and realized I had a trail of blood behind me and I had cut myself between my big toe and the toe next to it.

I needed a doctor, and fast!

My parents rushed me to the ER where the doctor told me I had to get stitches because of the severity. He then let me know I could choose a parent to come and sit with me while this procedure took place.  I instantly knew who I wanted next to me.

I wanted my dad.

We didn’t talk, he just sat there next to me.  He held my hand the entire time and there were moments I was terrified and wanted to cry but I would look at him and he would just squeeze my hand reminding me it was going to be okay.He didn’t speak, I didn’t speak but there was trust.  I trusted him enough to know as long as he was there I was going be okay.

IF MY EARTHLY DAD BEING FAULTY BROUGHT THIS MUCH PEACE IN MY HEART, HIM BEING HUMAN HOW MUCH MORE THAN CAN I PLACE MY TRUST IN OUR CELESTIAL DAD WHO DOES NOT CHANGE, WHO DOT NOT WAVER, WHO IS TRUE TO HIS WORD AND FAITHFUL TO THE END?

I want us to take a look at our friends the disciples and their response a lot like our response when we are faced with hardship...
